PENTECOST SUNDAY MAY 19TH – INTERNATIONAL MASS

With joy we welcome the forthcoming reception of the Church’s sacraments by our second group of candidates next Sunday at St. Joseph’s 10.30am Mass and pray for their families. We also celebrate the international character of our parish community with prayers in various languages. You might consider wearing something red in keeping with the liturgical colour of the feast. 

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL REPORT ON MAY MEETING

Among matters discussed at Parish Council during the week were  -the situation of the ministry at the Alfred Hospital where there is no longer a Catholic Chaplain, the consolidation of a social committee, the 2025 renewal of the Lease Agreement with SJOS, new safeguarding codes, and some maintenance issues in the parish.

CHILDREN’S FIRST RECONCILIATION

Preparation classes for children making their First Reconciliation will begin in May, Please contact Stefphy at the parish office.

VOCATIONS SUNDAY

Let us pray for the young people in our community, and in our families and circle of friends. May our prayers help them to be open to the Lord’s call to consecrated life or priesthood especially in the Order of St Augustine. View Augustinian Vocations Sunday Video here.
